Dalhousie is a breath-taking hill station situated on the Dhauladhar range of the Himalayas. Itís altitude of about 6000 to 9000 feet above the sea level makes its climate favorable for a perfect hill station. It is comprised of several snow-capped peaks within it, which are best shooting spots for many movies as well as photographic location for several tourists. It is built on and around five hills. There are several places of tourist importance over here. The Dainkund Walk is a gentle, sloping walk which attracts a lot of tourists. It leads to a Hindu temple.

Upper Bakrota is the highest area in the Dalhousie, which is studded with some of the finest display of architecture. The houses are worth seeing. The Kala Tope Rest house is a nice and quiet spot and draws a large number of tourists towards it and hence moulded into a picnic spot. The Kalatop wild life reserve is a famous game sanctuary that is located in this place. It serves as the best place for a family weekend treat. There are several breath-taking views in this location. Trekking is another main hobby in Dalhousie which the tourists prefer. Dalhousie is a silent treat to the tourists.
