    ATM charges in India

    Hi

I know that some of the banks have begun charging heavy transaction fee on international withdrawals, I tried to contact my bank to know the charges but they had no idea how much I will be charged for ATM witdrawl in India. My question is: Is it better to exchange cash or is it cheaper to witdraw cash from an ATM in India.

You would get better exchange rate if you exchanged cash and you wont have to pay the ATM transaction fee either. Banks exchange rates are way to expensive and most banks charge you a certain minimum amount per ATM transaction while abroad.

Exchanging currency in India is easy as you would find shops with sign boards all over the place especially in tourist areas.
