    Jaisalmer sand dunes

My husband and I want to visit sand dunes in Jaisalmer, as we are from Kerala (South India) so its our first experince in desert area. We don't have much information about the place but one of my co-worker suggested me to reach Khuri and look for camel safari, he also suggested to stay in huts down there to get the real feel of Thar desert but according to information available on internet Khuri is less crowded then Sam so here my questions are:
is it less beautiful that's why got less people visiting there or what?
how good these huts are (are they safe) and do they have proper facilities
how much do we have to pay per night for these huts

I checked some pics too and found that Sand dunes in Khuri were bit dirty (plastic bottles and wrappers etc. were thrown in open) so is it worth going there?

I was in Khuri around 4 years back and it was really nice experience in total, its a small town in deep warm sand and is really worth visiting. About the things you asked

I am not sure why less people visit there but no doubt its a beautiful place and the sky at night looks amazing.

Huts are alright, do not expect any modern facility there but they are good to observe a peaceful, calm and silent night. I really enjoyed looking at the stars and making faces in the sky, it was really wonderful experience. Huts are safe as guards stay up all night, can't say anything about scorpions or snakes.

Sand dune were looking messed up just because of some irresponsible Indians and maybe due to those 100 other tourists who visit the place during day hours and love leave there marks in form of plastic bottles and empty packs of chips.
