Nainital is one of the astonishing hill stations present in the northern part of India . It provides stunning views from the top , towards all the other sides lying North and South .According to the ancient myths the Nainital Lake is said to have been formed due to the work of three sages Atri , Pulatsya and Pulaha who once finding no water in that place dug a hole and that in turn shaped into the present day Nainital Lake . It is comprised of the holy waters of the Mansarovar Lake from Tibet . It is also known as the Lesser Manasarovar.
This lake is holy and a dip in this lake is considered as blessings of God.On the northern shore of this lake a famous Shakti temple is present known as the Naina Devi Temple . There is also another myth said why the lake is considered as holy , while Lord Shiva was carrying Parvati the place where Parvati’s eye fell came to be called as Nain-tal or lake of the eye . It is known for its pleasant cool climate , which makes this hill station a attractive one for all the tourists.
Thus Nainital is a wonderful hill station to spend time as well as a place for worship.
