    Dehradun is a city present in the North Eastern part of India which is rightly called as counter magnet as it attracts a large number of people from the magnet cities such as Delhi, Mumbai and so on. It is developed as an alternate city of growth In order to control excessive population explosion in Delhi. It is a place renowned for its natural resources and educational institutions. It is situated at 255 kms from the Indian capital. It is also known as the ‘ Dun valley’. It is also linked with the story of Ramayana and Mahabharata.

    The Rajaji National park is present in this region which attracts a lot of wildlife favorites to this place. It has a cool and temperate climate which makes the tourists pleasant. There a lot of tourist destinations such as the Tapkeshwar temple, Malsi deer park, Kaplanga monument, Laxman Siddh, Chandrabani, Guchhupani, Santala Devi temple and so on. The places can be divided into natural beauties, sanctuaries, museums and institutions of great value. It is awesome place for animal and bird lovers. The tourists can also spend their time by engaging themselves in exciting, sporty activities such as rafting, trekking and hill climbing. It also comprises of amusement parks which offer utmost fun.

    Located amidst the foothills of the great Himalayas, Dehradun has been one of the favorite destinations for its moderate climate and scenic natural beauty.Apart from the natural vegetation, there are many other tourist attractions in Dehradun such as adventure sports, temples to visit, parks and institutes.
